Significant advancements have been made in both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine applications over the past two to three decades. In commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of our University, with the contributions of all our faculty members, we have endeavored to summarize not only the fundamental knowledge in the field of Nuclear Medicine but also the recent developments in this book.

Indeed, this book was planned for medical students and residents who are starting their careers in medicine at the beginning. However, in its current form, I believe that it will serve as a valuable Turkish resource for all our colleagues.

As a nuclear medicine physician celebrating 37 years in the profession as an academician, I would like to emphasize the honor I feel in witnessing all these advancements firsthand and in serving as the editor of this work. Finally, in reference to the proverb "Strength lies in unity," I extend my gratitude to all my colleagues and assistant editors who contributed to the creation of this book.
