Physics of Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Applications
Although this work is primarily prepared as a textbook for students, considering the content and organization of the topics, it will also be beneficial for newly appointed nuclear medicine residents, nuclear medicine health physicists, and healthcare technicians. The flow of the chapters and topics in the book has been arranged in accordance with the stages of radiopharmaceutical use in nuclear medicine applications. Fundamental nuclear medicine physics concepts are conveyed in a clear and easily understandable language. This expanded edition of the book contains the most up-to-date and comprehensive information in its field. Topics such as X-ray physics, ultrasound physics, magnetic resonance imaging physics, computed tomography physics, and radionuclide dosimetry methods, which have been introduced into nuclear medicine applications in recent years, are covered in detail. I hope that this book, which spans a broad spectrum of knowledge, will meet the needs of nuclear medicine professionals in terms of fundamental physics, radiation protection, and imaging techniques, and that it will be useful to all nuclear medicine workers. I would like to express my gratitude to the administrators of our university for facilitating the publication of this book with extensive resources and for making it accessible to students.
