The environmental, social and economic impacts of climate change have increased over time. In order to reduce these impacts, it has been recognized that all countries should take measures and adopt cooperative practices. The approaches to combating climate change are addressed in a comprehensive framework in the international processes. In this respect, the place and role of forests are remarkable.

Forests are not only an important natural asset in combating climate change, but also forestry activities have a significant impact on the process. Undoubtedly, forest policy, which includes the relations between forest resources and society, determines forestry objectives and the tools necessary to achieve these objectives and develops measures is directly related to climate change in terms of guiding management of forest resources and forestry activities.

Analysing the relationship and interaction between forest policy and climate change is important and necessary for ensuring the harmonisation between them. The book 'Climate Change and Forests: A Forest Policy Perspective' has been prepared with the aim of evaluating the relationship and interactions in this regard and revealing their reflections. The scope of the book is mainly aimed at providing general and basic information and perspective to undergraduate and graduate students and those who are interested in the subject.
