For those of us who embarked on our journey as medical students at the Faculty of Medicine with 50 books on the 50th anniversary of the Republic, the 100-book project has become very meaningful as we approach the end of our profession on the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

As the Department of Otolaryngology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, we found it fitting to write a textbook, in addition to which we decided to write 'New Horizons in Ear Nose Throat and Head Neck Surgery'. I believe that the topics we have chosen, along with the authors, will shed light on the future and be beneficial to the readers.

I extend my thanks to our families who raised us, our teachers, our students who keep us constantly vibrant, and my fellow colleagues who contributed to the book.
