General History Volume III

Ali Reşad's work "General History" published in 1928 was an official textbook taught in middle and high schools in the early years of the Republic. This work contributed to the history education of the period with its narrative and expression style and historical information. The work in our hands covers the activities of the Ottoman Empire in Europe, Anatolia, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, starting from the Balkan and Anatolian Conquests. This work, which includes all historical events until Atatürk's declaration of the republic, comprehensively conveys social, political and military activities. We carefully transcribed this work, written in Ottoman Turkish, into today's Turkish in accordance with the rules of transcription. The sentences were explained in an understandable and careful manner, remaining faithful to the original. The work in question is an important source for those interested in history.
