Textbook of Neurology I: From Symptoms to Diagnosis in Central Nervous System Diseases and Basic Neurology

If  we say neurology is the most interesting, complicated and intriguing field  of medicine, we think there will not be many objections. The possibilities of technology have paved the way for a better understanding of the nervous system anda are helping to unravel the mystery of the brain and the neurons.

We offer this book as a starter book to anyone who is eager to understand neurology and learn how to approach patients with neurological problems.

This book is the first book of the department of Neurology in the series of 100 books planned by Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa to celebrate 100th annivesary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye. The following books, second  and third books,  will be mostly focusing on diseases and their treatment and management. Therefore reading the first book will be the basis to the understanding of later books.

Education in the direction taught by our steemed professors, some of whom are deceased, is our primary duty. We continue to pass this flag on to future generations and this book is a part of this mission.

We would like to thank to the faculty members of the Department  of Neurology, their assistants and all guest authors who contributed.
