Before commencing our tenure as medical students, Istanbul Medical Faculty underwent a division, giving rise to Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. In recent years, we have transformedIstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.

In navigating the inherent challenges of establishing a new university and the subsequent organizational changes, our colleagues in the student and research assistant capacities consistently elected to join Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, demonstrating commendable academic achievements. This steadfast commitment has been a source of inspiration for us. With great enthusiasm, our Department has made a significant contribution to the Republic's 100th-anniversary commemoration through the authorship of three books as part of the 100-book project.

The third volume, 'Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases Textbook 2,' has been meticulously crafted to align with our curriculum while simultaneously imparting insights into contemporary and future advancements. I am confident that it will prove beneficial to our students and the broader readership.

I extend my sincere appreciation to the leaders who have afforded us, as custodians of the Republic's legacy, this unique opportunity. Furthermore, I express my profound gratitude to all my esteemed colleagues who played a pivotal role in the composition of this book.
